From Holland To Utah - A Rich Legacy of Baking

Baking is in my blood. My great grandfather, Hendrik Winkel, had a bakery in Holland, and later in Richfield, Utah. My Grandma Stevens made the lightest rolls I’ve ever tasted. My mom, Marva Allen, baked bread once or twice a week for our family, and to frequently gift to neighbors.

Our children, my sisters and I love baking! It’s in our blood! Our grandchildren call me Who Who which began when our first grandson, Lincoln, tried to call me with a whistle. The name stuck. A favorite treat for the grandchildren is banana bread which they’ve dubbed Who Who Bread. Homemade birthday cakes, cookies, bread, rolls The first snowstorm of the season signaled a Pie Day, and our children invited their friends over to celebrate! Baking is my love language.
